For a week long project, I had to decide the best way to conduct research to determine the well-being of my neighborhood. The metrics were to be determined by my understanding of 'well-being'.
HOW WOULD YOU VISUALIZE THE 'WELL-BEING' OF YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD?
I designed Neighborbook, inspired by the design of Facebook and used satire as a medium to communicate how we might need a digital platform to be connected with our neighbors.
I set my metrics as Revenue, Relationship, Assets to determine 'well-being' based on data collected through informal interviews.
I documented the informal interviews of five people as profile pages for each of them.
I analyzed the data collected in terms of the positive or negative mentions of the parameters. The visualizations are inspired by the graphs created by Facebook to visualize the activity on a page.
